Long Beach to Laguna Beach Wedding Locations?

I got engaged in August:) We were originally planning on having our wedding in Laguna Beach in early August '09, but now I'm not sure, I'll be happy to have it any time next summer. I've just become so frustrated with trying to find a place to have it. My parents don't have alot of extra money, neither do my fiance and I, so if you know of any wedding ceremony/reception sites that are affordable...please let me know!!

Thanks in advance for taking the time to answer!!

  • My relative's first wedding was at the Wayfarer's Chapel and reception held in a restaurant in Long Beach right on the bay. The rental is a bit pricey, but you don't need ANY decoration at all. They also can suggest a musician (or use an ipod) or photographer familiar with the area. She had a midweek wedding. The bride chose to have a harpist for the wedding.

A midweek wedding is $2000 and Includes:
Your wedding contribution includes the use of the Chapel for two hours, the Chapel Minister, wedding staff to guide your rehearsal, wedding music (played by the Chapel keyboardist), candles on the altar and your conferences. It's a beautiful setting, but a long drive.

  • I recent performed a ceremony at Crescent Bay Point Park in Laguna. It was a pretty little park – it's in a subdivision so things have to be low volume but it is s pretty overlooking the ocean. It's a city park so it requires a permit and you get exclusive use of it for I think 2 hours. I think you can fit 40 people maybe 50 if you sit close together. It is an amphitheater so there's a place to stand in front of your guests and the seating is concrete semi-circle tiered benches. There is also a large grassy area.

In these pictures (not mine, btw – far too good) the "fire pit" has been replaced with a seal or sea lion – there are sea lions that live in the area.
